In Mathew 28, we see about two groups who witness the resurrection, the women and the soldiers. Both see the angel, both see the rolling of the stone, both see the empty tomb, and both see the resurrected Jesus. Both share the story with others. Women are sent to the disciples. The guards go to the leading priests.   What’s intriguing in this account is the guards who were trying to guard the God had the privilege of seeing Jesus’s ultimate act, the act of resurrection. And they even shared this story with others. I was expected them to join the eleven soon.  But what’s sad is once they were offered money (v12), a plan to satisfy the governor (V14) to “save” their lives, they were ready to change the story. They were willing to trade what they saw to what they believed.  I think deep within they believed a different story. Whenever a person sins publicly (We all sin privately and hide them most of the time from others), the immediate response by the christian society is to unfriend him (facebook language). So a sinner becomes lonely and rejected. In other words, he becomes a friendless sinner. Jesus was called "...a friend of publicans and sinners" (Matt 11;19) A friend of sinners....What a title! Jesus was not only a friend of sinners then, but even now he is still the Friend of sinners. Are we like Jesus...a..friend...of ...sinners...? The world is full of friendless sinners...May be introduce The Friend of Sinners to the friendless sinners around us...

A month ago, my boys were diagnosed with vitamin D deficiency. The doctor prescribed that we should expose them to the sun. So they spend some considerable amount of time in the sun these days. They sun bath daily. And because of that their skin is tanned. People could recognize that they have been exposed to sun lately. In his book "The relentless tenderness of Jesus", Brennan manning explains that when you are exposed to sun so much people notice the difference because of the tan. He says, what is required among Christians is "Son Bathing," that we would be more exposed to Jesus, the Son of God. As we expose ourselves more to the Son, Jesus, his radiant light starts to fill us and people start to recognize the difference. Expose yourself to this great Light of the world, Son of God, Jesus. Spend more time basking in the Son. Son bath daily and frequently. Let your life be changed because pf it. Let others see it. Let others want it. Did you Son Bath today...

15  Jesus made a whip from some ropes and chased them all out of the Temple. He drove out the sheep and cattle, scattered the money changers’ coins over the floor, and turned over their tables.    - John 2:15 Jesus the meek, gentle, lamb of God is what we like to view always. But the above verse paints a different picture of Jesus. Jesus who turns over tables. He was carpenter. May be he made those tables. But they were using it for the wrong reason. So he turns over the tables. Do you know this Jesus?  What are the tables in your life? Has Jesus turned over any tables in your life?  Today, what are the tables Jesus would want to turn over in your life?

Lets read a few verses first. It’s the last day in the life of Jesus.   His stay on this little planet that he created is about to end. He was about to finish the work of His Father. But there is a battle going on in his heart. Jesus was extremely sorrowful. The enemy was himself, his own will.  Jesus is fighting to win the human desire   that we all know very well – avoiding pain and holding on to life.  His friends are sleeping. He is sweating blood. The struggle is real. If his human desire wins his Father’s plan his lost. We are lost.  So how does Jesus overcome his human desire?   Using four words! Your will be done! (Mathew 26:42) And as a result Father’s plan won and we won and Jesus won! The battle is real for us too. We want to fulfill our human desire and hold on to life. But let us follow Jesus and say those four magical words...Your will be done. We may face pain and even lose our life in the process of saying “Yes” to the Father but we would ...

Hello to everyone (if there still is anyone) who is aware of this blog after all this time! I apologize for leaving so suddenly. Someone told me that it only takes one person to keep hope alive in others, and that is the greatest thing I could accomplish. So i want to affect that one person and keep their hopes alive. When Jesus walked this earth, people often misunderstood his words. When he died on the cross, no one, not even his close disciples realized that he was dying for their sins. He died as the most misunderstood person. Recently, i have noticed everyone seems to know Jesus. But some how Jesus remains that most misunderstood person. We need people who would strive to understand Jesus. We need people whose only purpose in life would be stay with Jesus and listen to him and understand him. As i read the gospels, i find that the words of Jesus shocking and confusing at times. His stories are hanging without end. His questions were his answers. I think its time to...

Matthew 26 Jesus Anointed at Bethany 6  While Jesus was in Bethany in the home of Simon the Leper, 7  a woman came to him with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, which she poured on his head as he was reclining at the table. 8  When the disciples saw this, they were indignant. “Why this waste?” they asked. 9  “This perfume could have been sold at a high price and the money given to the poor.” 10  Aware of this, Jesus said to them, “Why are you bothering this woman? After 40 days of wilderness, Luke says " Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit". As we enter the lenten days, days of reflections and days of preparation, I pray that we may return in the Power of the Spirit.

John the Baptist gave testimony about Christ. He was a witness. As he gave testimony about Christ, people starting following Jesus (John 1;35-39, 2:11). His testimony and teaching pointed towards Christ and many started following Jesus (John 2:11). John’s gospel itself was written as a testimony about Jesus. And in this gospel, John emphasis on the power of our Testimony (John:19:35, 20:31) Samaritan women is another example. Through her testimony many Samaritans believed in Jesus. (John 4:28-29,39) Jesus prayed that through the disciple’s testimony many would believe in Him. (John 17:20) John also writes about people who are afraid testify Jesus because of their “fear of Jews”. (John 7:13, 9:22, 12:42, 19:38, 20:19) John the Baptist boldly testified about Jesus when so many where afraid to. He is our example to testify about Jesus. The Word was with God. So the Word became human [ d ] and made his home among us. He has revealed God to us. (John 1:1b, 14, 18c (NLT)) Sometime back, some were writing a book about my father. So they called me and asked me details about my father. Since I was with my father longer than them, they thought I would be the best person to reveal or explain about my father.  What if we have a person who was with God from the beginning? And what if that person would come and live with us and reveal or explain God to us. Well, this is exactly what Jesus did. The Word (Jesus) was with God from the beginning. So Jesus would be the best person to reveal God to us. Jesus came into this world to reveal God to human beings. He became human and made his home among us. You may have so many questions about God.
