This was a interesting Clip that i saw this week from Gerry True's blog. Thanks to him. I agree with what Francis says. Have a look at it ...its just 4 minutes. Let me know what you think....
My father died in a bike accident some years back. During the funeral there were so many people, friends, relatives’ and neighbors. Many were trying to comfort me. They said a lot of things which I don’t remember now. But I remember one person, one of my friend, not because what he said, but because what he did. He wept. He wept with me. He never said a word, but he was by my side weeping. And somehow his tears comforted me. His tears showed me how much he loved me. Even today when I think of his tears, I am comforted. Tears somehow have this unique ability to show how much we love a person. In John chapter 11, we see a beautiful incident. (Please do read the chapter) Lazarus is sick. Jesus delays. Sisters Panic. Lazarus dies. Jesus arrives. Mary weeps at Jesus feet. And you know what I love this verse. JESUS WEPT. He didn’t hide his tears. He didn’t hold back his tears so that he would appear strong. No He Wept. What a God we Have. As we weep at his feet, He is moved, he is troubled...
Yesterday I heard Mr.Clement Vedhanayagam speak. He is such an awesome speaker. I am using his sermon as a base for today’s post. Since its valentine’s day you could also test your love. God loves us completely and passionately because he is Love. Love is not just a part of his feeling. He is Love. We can see that as we see Jesus hung on the cross as he took our place. Three simple checks will reveal your love for God 1. Do you hate evil? Psalms 97: 10 says, let those who love the LORD hate evil. If you say I love the Lord, then check do you really hate evil. You may say, I don’t do evil. But you may cherish evil in your heart. If you really loved the Lord, there will arise anger and hatred toward what is evil. 2. Do you obey his commandments? John 14:21 says Whoever has ...
Whenever God was going to do something great or reveal himself in a different way, the disciples were afraid. When the angel of God came to Zachariah the priest in the holy of holy place, he was afraid. Then the angel said, Don’t be afraid. When the same angel came to Mary, the mother of Jesus, to announce about Jesus’ birth, she was afraid. Then the angel said Don’t be afraid. When Jesus did a miracle of catching fishes that almost made the boat sink, Peter was afraid. Then Jesus said, Don’t be afraid. Then Jesus walked on water, the disciples thought he was a ghost and they were afraid. Then Jesus said, Don’t be afraid. When on the mount of transfiguration, the disciples were fearful when they saw Jesus change but Jesus said Don’t be afraid. When the disciples were in the closed room, Jesus walked through the door and the disciples were afraid again. Jesus said, don’t be afraid. Every time when God was revealing himself in a different way and outgrew the image of what they had about...
