Focused and Fruitful

I have not written for some time not because of lack of ideas but because of there were too many ideas. This is what I would do for the past one week. I would write a couple of sentence on a topic and then stop it and write another 2 lines on some other topic and then stop it and then ..(Well you know the cycle went on for some time.) Though there were so many ideas, I could not get anything meaningful because I was not focused.


Life can be like that. Though you may do so many things, unless you focus on ONE important thing, it would be meaningless.
Here are a few questions for us to ponder.

What is One thing that we need according to Jesus? (Luke 10:38-42)

What is One thing that we lack in? (Luke 18:22)

What is One thing you desire? (Psalms 27: 4)

May our lives be focused and fruitful.

    Oh God, you won't believe, the same thing happens to me. I have so many topics on my mind but once I start writing about a particular topic, I just don't finish it. Only after reading this blog post, I realise that I'm not focused. Time to do some soul searching now! :)

Yesterday I heard Mr.Clement Vedhanayagam speak. He is such an awesome speaker. I am using his sermon as a base for today’s post. Since its valentine’s day you could also test your love.   God loves us completely and passionately because he is Love. Love is not just a part of his feeling. He is Love. Let Your Tears Fall

My father died in a bike accident some years back. During the funeral there were so many people, friends, relatives’ and neighbors. Many were trying to comfort me. They said a lot of things which I don’t remember now. But I remember one person, one of my friend, not because what he said, but because what he did. He wept. He wept with me. He never said a word, but he was by my side weeping. And somehow his tears comforted me. His tears showed me how much he loved me. Even today when I think of his tears, I am comforted. Tears somehow have this unique ability to show how much we love a person. In John chapter 11, we see a beautiful incident. (Please do read the chapter) Lazarus is sick. Jesus delays. Sisters Panic. Story - Empty Chair

This is a story that i heard in youtube told by Brennan Manning , the author of the famous book Ragamuffin Gospel. The minister in the Story was he himself. A man's daughter had asked the local minister to come and pray with her father. When the minister arrived, he found the man lying in bed with his head propped up on two pillows. An empty chair sat beside his bed. The minister assumed that the old fellow had been informed of his visit. "I guess you were expecting me, he said. 'No, who are you?" said the father. The minister told him his name and then remarked, "I saw the empty chair and I figured you knew I was going to show up," "Oh yeah, the chair," said the bedridden man.
