Thoughts during Tough Times

My son was sick for the past one week. During this time, so many random thoughts crossed my mind. I didn’t capture all of it. But I wanted to write a few thoughts or a few lessons that I learnt.

I was amazed at the way my wife loved our son during these tough days. She was always there for him the whole time even though she became weak and tired. Like a broken dam she was pouring out love on him. I thought she was leaking the love of God brilliantly. Her love was a parable for how God loves and cares for me.

I was also amazed at how many people rang up and spoke words of faith and encouragement. I didn’t realize that I had so many God given people in my life. I am so thankful for them.

No matter how strong you are, you can never see your child suffer. I did all that I could do to stop his suffering. To some extent I realized how the father in heaven would have felt when he saw his Son suffer. Great is His love for us.

Another thing that I noted was whenever a parent came to Jesus and prayed on behalf of his or her child, Jesus acted immediately. And I know that my son is back home safe because Jesus acted when we prayed.

I also realized that every moment in every relationship is a precious gift from God and we must make it count.
Through it all I have learnt to Trust in God. I know that He is Good Always!!
