Reasons to Praise God from psalms 103

Reasons to praise God ( Taken from psalms 103)

1. He forgives all your sin V3a
2. He heals all your disease V3b
3. He redeems your life from pit V4a
4. He crowns you with love and compassion V4b
5. He satisfies your desires with good things V5a
6. He renews your strength like eagle V5b
7. He, the LORD works righteousness V6a
8. He provides justice for all the oppressed V6b
9. He makes known His ways and His deeds to His People V7
10. He is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love V8
11. He will not harbor his anger forever V9
12. He does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities V10
13. So great is his love for those who fear him V11
14. As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. V12
15. He knows we are weak V14
16. For his everlasting love and righteousness V17
17. For His established throne and Since He alone rules over all V19

    Am so sure that this is not a complete list! But I was barely a quarter of the way down it when I happened to get goose pimples all over! How much we take for granted in our Lord. The Word of God says so much about how Nature and all Creation praise the name of the Lord. Thanks so much for reminding me of how much more we ought to praise His holy name too! God bless!

My father died in a bike accident some years back. During the funeral there were so many people, friends, relatives’ and neighbors. Many were trying to comfort me. They said a lot of things which I don’t remember now. But I remember one person, one of my friend, not because what he said, but because what he did. He wept. He wept with me. Love Test!!

Yesterday I heard Mr.Clement Vedhanayagam speak. He is such an awesome speaker. I am using his sermon as a base for today’s post. Since its valentine’s day you could also test your love.   God loves us completely and passionately because he is Love. Love is not just a part of his feeling. He is Love. We can see that as we see Jesus hung on the cross as he took our place. This was demonstrating the fullness of God’s Love. So we know God loves us. But today we are going to check if we love God. We might have said that we love you Lord. Three simple checks will reveal your love for God 1.      Do you hate evil? Psalms 97: 10 says, let those who love the LORD hate evil. If you say I love the Lord, then check do you really hate evil. You may say, I don’t do evil. But you may cherish evil in your heart. Enraged Jesus

I have never seen a painting of Jesus with a whip in a church building. I have seen the painting of a soft gentle Jesus, Christ on cross, resurrected Jesus but not once have I seen a painting of Jesus with a whip. ( If you have seen please do let me know. I would like to visit that church). As I read John 2, from verse 13, the 15th verse really got my attention. So he made a whip out of cords - John 2:15. Did you see that? This is was not a sudden outrage of Jesus but He “Made” a whip tells us that this was well planned attack. He took his time to make a whip. So if Jesus who is seen calm and composed most of the time is angry at something, I think we should seriously consider what he was angry about. Jesus himself gives us the reason. “Stop turning my Father’s house into a market!”-John 2:16. Even today there are so many who market Jesus. If you have Jesus, all your problems will be gone.
